Every Friday the line past Polbrook Gurney Colliery is inspected. That’s the 1 in 20 grade up in to the colliery to the right which can create difficulties on wet days, but luckily the trains going up into the colliery are lighter than those leaving which is most of the time, unless something is being smuggled in. Though what that could be on those rare occasions is pure conjecture, but we know how nefarious those inch high people can be. I’m sure you my loyal reader may have some ideas, for my mind, for now is blank as I type this load of old….
On inspection duty, Waving Willy does what he’s been doing ever since he was knee high to a grasshopper, or possibly before. Though he being only inch high in our 1:1 world, means he’s still possibly still ‘knee high to a grasshopper’, even though he’s an adult - albeit made from pewter or some other toxic alloy.
And finally, Bob Geeza Cat does what he does best, which is to pose in a spot to perfectly balance the composition of any photographs that he appears in.
